Please excuse my attire, but Dar'mate left me stranded in my cot until just a little while ago. I was ready to be quite angry with her, until she showed me what she had been working on today. You have seen my office in her classroom. I had a little table and chair on her desk at home as well, but it was rather sparse. Today, while I was in my cot, she built me a little room, complete with fireplace and an upholstered chair. It was the chair that took her so much time. She upholstered it herself, sewing on the padding and the cover by hand. It is very comfortable and worth the wait. Now I have a quiet place to sit and write at home. I love my sitting room with the window seat, but Girard spends a lot of time there and it is hard to get any writing done when he is in the room. He is my dearest friend in the world and you will get to meet him soon. For now, I shall close and sit in my chair and sip my tea. Good night!

Busy day at school

Today is another busy day with students completing their course work. I help Dar'mate keep track of which students are in attendance in each class period. Our school is so small that the student schedules can change on a daily basis. One of her students has finished two classes this week. Yesterday we wrote six course completions and have already done two more today. Soon I will need to put in a request for more forms. I handle supplies as well as student attendance. I am so glad to be back. T'Saralonde and Cordie tried hard, but they just didn't know my system. It took me a couple of days, but all my paperwork is back in order, thank goodness!

It is brisk out this morning I am enjoying a big mug of tea. Dar'mate made me a new skirt yesterday and it is perfect with my blouse and leggings. I love the softness of the velvet under my hands. It will be nice to have two more velvet skirts this winter. I am hoping to get a velvet suit to wear on Christmas Eve.

It has been busy here today. The students have been working hard and four completed the course that they were working on. Dar'mate works at a very unusual school Student progress occurs by how hard the student is willing to work. Student effort and good work determines when a course finishes.
I decided to take a little break at lunch and update my blog. I have a very nice Bento today. I really like umbeoshi plum in my rice. I wonder if one of the students will swap something for my egg. I don't like eggs much.

Back at school

Good Morning!
Today we are back at school. I am in my office in Dar'mate's classroom. I have my own table and chair as well as a laptop to work on my blog and other things. Each day, I travel to school and to whatever errands we have for the day.

I even have a special job. I take roll in the classroom.

All the students know me and many greet me when they come to class. Once the roll is taken, I have time to work on my writing and to read or pursue other quiet activities.
The first thing I did this morning was hang a stocking to decorate my office. I think that it helps it look much more festive.

I am not home right now, but leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I should be home tomorrow evening so check back on Wednesday. I am flying back from Florida after a spa visit and I know so much more about myself than I did before.

A Tiny Fairy Tale

Shriara has totally forgotten about her blog since she has fallen in love. The sequence of events could almost be a very strange fairytale. It wouldn't be too far off either considering it is the story of a fey and an ice dragon.

Once upon a time, there was a very tiny fey girl named Shriara. Although she was less than 6 inches tall, she never felt small. Her friends rarely noticed how small she was because she was so full of life. Shriara was the heart and soul of Navarro House.

One day while surfing the web on her tiny laptop, she found a picture of a very handsome young man with green eyes and hair so white it was tinged in blue. She was entranced by his winsome face and sweet smile. So, she sent him a note.

They became friends and over the months fell in love. All was well in Shriara's world until Jake was sad and she tried to go to him.
